Notes - Patch as used by SL Benfica in the pre-season match against Ajax on 26th July 2014. The Eusébio Cup is a friendly football tournament, held annually since 2008 in honour of the legendary Portuguese footballer Eusébio and his association with Benfica. Eusébio himself presented the trophy to the winning team until his death on 5th January 2014. In that year, Benfica added a print to the right sleeve of the jersey, just below the usual patch. The print bears the phrase "A vida é breve, o Rei é eterno", which translates to "Life is brief, The King is eternal".
